Precautions for the Application of Acidic Silicone Sealant

Temperature and Humidity
Acid silicone sealant cures best at temperatures between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C) and relative humidity between 40% and 70%. Avoid applying the sealant in extreme temperatures or high humidity, as this can affect the curing process and the bonding strength.

Mixing
If the sealant is a two-component product, make sure to mix it thoroughly according to the manufacturer's instructions. Improper mixing can result in incomplete curing and poor bonding.

Application Thickness
Apply the sealant in a uniform thickness. A thickness of 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch is usually recommended. Avoid applying the sealant too thickly, as this can slow down the curing process and increase the risk of cracking.
